Lawnmowers, PC builds, house renovations, power washing, you can make a ‘simulator’ game out of anything these days, the latest being Autopsy Simulator. Yep, a game in which you get to cut up dead bodies. It’s how I like to spend my Sunday afternoons, a nice glass of Chardonnay and a dead body slice up.
Autopsy Simulator finds you playing the role of a pathologist in which you musty study and dissect anatomically accurate bodies and determine each subject’s cause of death. The game has been created with help of real-world forensic doctors and includes “a variety of medically authentic tools and procedures”. The game is being created by Woodland Games, an indie studio based in Poland and founded in 2017 and is going to be published by Team 17.
The game also comes with Autopsy Simulator: Dead Memories, a self-contained, narrative-driven psychological horror experience set in 1990s New Orleans. In this you be playing a character called Jack who’s has suffered a personal tragedy. “Players will unravel a gripping mystery as Jack battles his inner demons while performing a range of medically accurate post-mortem procedures,” say Woodland Games.
