TRON: Identity is next title from Bithell Games

Tron Identity announcement

TRON: Identity has been revealed as the next game from Bithell Games, with Disney fully on board with the collaboration. At the moment, TRON: Identity has only been confirmed for PC via Steam where it is already available to wishlist ahead of its 2023 release. It has also been confirmed that this will be a visual novel with the main character being a detective called Query.

The description for TRON: Identity says, “Explore a whole new Grid, forgotten by its creator and left alone to evolve without User intervention. Play as Query, a detective program called in when an unprecedented crime has been committed. The Repository stands at the center of this society. A vault at its heart has been infiltrated and its secrets put the fate of the entire Grid hanging in the balance. Question suspects, form allegiances and defrag discs to get to the bottom of your investigation discovering what was taken and by whom. Your choices matter in this world. You’ll forge Query’s path to tell your own story, directly influencing the events that happen around you. Branching dialogue options open up a multitude of possibilities and a number of potential endings; as you unravel secrets, it’s up to you to decide how to handle the world you face.”

Mike Bithell took to Twitter after the announcement saying, “So, yeah, we just announced a team up with Disney to bring TRON back to video games. Lots more to come and talk about, but today we exhale. Our first collab, Tron: Identity, is wishlistable on Steam now! I’m so proud of my team, and grateful to be here.”

Whether TRON: Identity will make its way to other platforms is yet unknown. John Wick Hex was the last project to be available on all major platforms, while games like Subsurface Circular and Quarantine Circular are on PC and Switch.
