The Settlers: New Allies may have missed its 2022 release date, but Ubisoft has now confirmed a new one. The publisher announced that the new Settlers game will be released for PC on February 17th, 2023. The Settlers: New Allies will also be coming to consoles, with Ubisoft announcing PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch versions are in development. It will also be heading to Amazon Luna alongside the console versions.

The Settlers: New Allies will have three different game modes for players to work their way through, and they have been detailed below.

  • Single-player campaign: As the Elari are forced to flee their homeland, they must settle on new and unknown territories. These new Settlers will have to face many challenges on their journey, from the raiding of ruthless bandits to the discovery of the new culture of these lands.
  • Hardcore Mode: As players will be able to play new scenarios, a wide range of modifiers and conditions will make the AI an even more challenging opponent. Adaptability is key in this new mode that will put the best players to the test, alone or with friends.
  • Skirmish: Players will be able to experience Solo vs. AI, co-op vs. AI or PvP featuring up to eight players on the 12 maps available at launch

The Settlers: New Allies Deluxe Edition has also been detailed, if you want to go for it. This version of the game will include the Royal Items set, a digital artbook, Royal Title set, a three day shard booster, a soundtrack, the Pathfinders mark, Explorer Title, and the Compass Emblem. The standard edition has been priced at £49.99, while the Deluxe edition is £69.99. It will also be part of Ubisoft+.

Upon its release date, The Settlers will be making a long-awaited comeback after many years. The series is almost three decades old now, its previous two outings – The Settlers 7 and The Settlers Online – having launched in 2010.
