Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Malta expansion releases December 8th

Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Malta expansion has been announced by Frontier Developments, with the studio confirming that the game will be out on December 8th. Alongside the new DLC a new update will also be released. The expansion will be priced at £15.99/€19.99/$19.99.

The events of the Dominion Malta expansion are set before the events of Jurassic World: Dominion, where players will try to manage three island locations in the Mediterranean. Four new species are being added along with three variants. The four new species are Atrociraptor, Lystrosaurus, Oviraptor, and the Moros Intrepidus. The Allosaurus, Dimorphodon, and Iguanodon will be 2022 variants, with the latter getting 12 new body colours and seven new patterns. There will also be a Carnotaurus 2022 skin.

The free update 5 will add new levels and features to the game. The Arizona Breakout, Washington State Wreckage, Pennsylvania Headquarters, Oregon Aviary, and California Photography will be added as challenge levels, but will only be accessible if a player has earned seven stars across all challenges in challenge mode. New challenge conditions will also be added such as tranquiliser upgrades, Psychological Trauma, and Staff Hiring Requirements. Some dinosaurs will be getting behaviour changes like the Moros Intrepidus and Compsognathus having group attacks on guests and goats. There are changes to where the dinosaurs will walk so they do not collide with guests and vehicles.

The user interface will also have some changes applied in update 5. When a dinosaur is being transported the outlines of other dinosaurs of that species and their territory will be highlighted. There will be another icon which will show dinosaurs that are liked, unliked, or neutral. When selecting the Alpha of a species the other dinosaurs of that group will be highlighted too. An ailment and tranquilise icon will appear when controlling the capture team, the fight notification will appear sooner so players can step in sooner to stop fights, and a notification to say when the park is closed due to storms.
