Dragon Age Dreadwolf

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is the focus of today’s Dragon Age Day, and to mark it an in game cinematic has been released by BioWare. The cinematic, narrated by Varric, gives us a brief history of Solus. It reveals that in a log ago age Solus was the Dreadwolf, the ancient elven god of lies or rebel facing tyranny, depending on the version you believe. Solus imprisoned the elven gods long ago, but now he wants to destroy the world.

A new short story called As We Fly by Lukas Kristjanson. This story is set in Treviso, which is under occupation by Butcher Daathrata and his soldiers. Where there is occupation there is rebellion, and in this short story two of those characters that are taking part in this rebellion are Neri de Acutis and Noa de Acutis, two siblings who are also Antivan Crows, a major political force in Antiva and a guild of assassins. It is an interesting read and gives us a bit more insight in to what to expect in the world of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.

Dragon Age Dreadwolf takes place in a world where the legend of Solas has grown, with different people having different opinions of him. To some he is an elven god while to others an individual that betrayed people who trusted him. Some see him as someone who is there to save others, but at a great cost. Players will have to wait as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will not be releasing this year. It was confirmed earlier this year that this next entry to the franchise was looking like it would be available in 2023.

The new Dragon Age was first publicly acknowledged in 2020, as EA were foreshadowing their next-gen plans for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S – Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is reportedly a PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC game, that ditches support for the last generation.
