To mark the release date announcement a new trailer for Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake, showing quite a bit of gameplay bits. The Cosmic Shake rips SpongeBob and Patrick out of Bikini Bottom for an adventure across a multitude of Wishworlds, each one with a unique setting and set of rules to follow.

THQ Nordic has also confirmed those who pre-order Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake will get the Costume Pack for free. Those who do not pre-order will have to pay €9.99 / $9.99 / £7.99 from launch day. The seven costumes included in the pack are RoboBob SteelPants, Mermaid Man Bob, JellyBob, Primitive Sponge, Dried Sponge, Opposite Day, and Band Geek.

THQ Nordic has also revealed the Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake BFF Edition, which will set people back €249.99 / $249.99 / £219.99. This version includes Cosmic Victory Statue that is 25cm tall, an Inflatable Patrick that measures 50cm, BFF amulet with necklace, 4 costume miniature bouncing balls, 4 placemats, a standard copy of the game on the chosen platform, and the Costume Pack DLC.

Announced back in 2021, it looks like a pleasantly wild and varied adventure, and it’s coming from a studio that’s got plenty of experience with SpongeBob SquarePants. Purple Lamp was last seen having made Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, the remake of the PS2 era platformer that was released in early 2020.
