Fight Night fans, rejoice. If you’ve been scrapping for a new boxing sim, Undisputed could be the answer to your prayers.
UK-based developer, Steel City Interactive, has confirmed that the game will be launching later this month via Steam Early Access. That’s not to say this version of the game will light on content and features with online and offline play, boasting a roster of 50 playable boxers. However, the Early Access format gives the development team time to refine Undisputed ahead of its full launch, responding to player feedback. Full details on a console version have yet to be announced.
Boxing fans can step into the ring from January 31, 2023. The game’s price isn’t visible just yet, and it’s also worth noting that you’ll need a controller to play.
Undisputed Overview
Undisputed packs a punch with stunning visuals, a revolutionary footwork system, and deep strategy. With over 60 different punches, voiceovers from legendary referees and commentators, and support from the world of boxing, Undisputed intends to live up to its name and become the king of boxing titles.
The Early Access launch for Undisputed will feature a roster of over 50 playable characters including Tyson Fury, Canelo Alvarez, Deontay Wilder, Katie Taylor, and a fully-fledged women’s division across six unique fight locations, including a large arena and Coldwell’s gym. Players can enjoy Undisputed offline against friends or AI opponents, or they can go online and compete for a place on the leaderboards.
To ensure that Undisputed is a truly authentic experience, Sheffield-based developer Steel City Interactive is partnering with all the heavy-weight brands in boxing, including the World Boxing Council, the British Boxing Board of Control, Empire, and many more.

It has been well over a decade since EA’s Fight Night Champion, the last instalment in what was the only mainline boxing game series still alive.
In recent years – and thanks to the modern boxing boom – it’s been rumoured that EA could revive the Fight Night series. In our Fight Night Champion review, we scored the game an 8 out of 10:
“It won’t be for everyone but it is a good representation of the noble art of boxing. We would like to have seen a couple of fighters that weren’t present (no Rocky Marciano) but there are over fifty there to choose from and the create mode is very comprehensive. Legacy mode is deep and should keep players returning for a long time while the Champion mode is a triumph, albeit a fairly brief one. All in all, if you’ve enjoyed any of the previous games in the series then this comes highly recommended.”
