Naughty Dog have announced that The Last of Us Part 1 has been delayed from March 3rd to March 28th, 2023. As you might expect the reason for the delay is to polish the game a little more. The delay means the game will now release on PC after the HBO series ends.
“The development of The Last of Us Part I on PC provided us with an opportunity to open our game in new ways.” The Last of Us Part I Game Director Matthew Gallant said. “We learned a lot from the development of UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PC earlier this year, and we can’t wait to make The Last of Us Part I at home on the PC as well.”
Talking of the HBO series, it has been review bombed on Metacritic by morons who objected to the beautiful third episode that largely ignored the main story and instead focussed on Bill and Frank, two gay characters.
“I will rate it 0 just because of episode 3. I liked the first two episodes but am done now,” was one comment on Metacritic, “It doesn’t follow the arc of the original video game and is starting to be full of woke content… betrayed” is another. Anyone who has played the game will know there is a backstory for Bill and Frank, the TV show just enhanced this. They will also know that – shock, horror – Ellie is a lesbian. Expect more review bombing on Metacritic when that becomes apparent in the TV show.
The Last of Us has been a massive hit for HBO, so it’s no surprise that they confirmed Season 2 before third episode of Season 1 was broadcast in the United States.
How can you watch The Last of Us?
To watch the full The Last of Us series, you’ll need to subscribe to HBO or (in the UK) to Sky TV or Now TV, but what if you just want a taste? Well, HBO and SkyTV have uploaded The Last of Us Episode 1 for free on YouTube, making it readily available for anyone with a basic internet connection to watch the opening to this record-setting video game adaptation.
The video has been uploaded to both SkyTV and HBO’s YouTube channels, and can be watched without a subscription to Sky or NowTV in the UK or HBO in the US and other regions.
