The Sims 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack is coming July 20th

the sims 4 update patch notes

The Sims 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack has been revealed by EA and Maxis, with the latest expansion pack set to be available on July 20th. As you may expect from the name, The Sims 4 Horse Ranch expansion adds a location called Chestnut Ridge where players can build their own horse ranches. Horse will not just be decorative but core members of the families that raise them.

Ranch life will be the core part of the expansion with all that it would entail, such as taking care of the horses, and harvesting crops to feed the animals. Players will also be able to breed horses so foals will be running around the ranches too. Horses have four skills which are Temperament, Agility, Jumping, and Endurance, with each of these coming into play during competitions.  Away from the horses players can create Nectar, a drink that can be made from potatoes, fruit, and rubbish. Each type of Nectar has different effect on the Sims. The Nectar can also be stored and sold off too.

Chestnut Ridge is explorable too with trails to trot with scenic routes in the Galloping Gulch, which is the National Park Neighborhood. The Sims can also go into town and relax at a bar, go dancing at the dance hall, or train the horses at the equestrian park. Players can also host Ranch Gatherings that feature dancing and cookouts, or a Ranch Animal Day where characters can interact with the animals of the ranch. EA has partnered with Sacred Healing Circle, an indigenous organisation that supports indigenous communities to preserve practices and methodologies.

“Indigenous people have always had a deep, spiritual relationship with horses,” says Stacey Parshall JensenThe Sims’ friend and sensitivity reader who collaborated on The Sims 4 Horse Ranch. “They’re a symbol of power. They provide healing and represent freedom and bravery to our Indigenous culture.”

Pre-orders for The Sims 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack are live now on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
