Hidden Memories of The Gardens Between revealed by The Voxel Agents

The Voxel Agents have announced Hidden Memories of The Gardens Between, an expanded VR version of its puzzle game The Gardens Between. This version is also a kind of sequel set 20 years after The Gardens Between, as main character Frendt discovers the diary of his friend Arina, and relives their memories from the diary. This version of the game will feature 40 new puzzles to figure out and move from.

“Hidden Memories of The Gardens Between is a tribute to the friendships from our childhoods that felt so impossibly large with unbreakable bonds,” says Simon Joslin, co-founder of The Voxel Agents. “We wanted to tap into something relatable, familiar, and nostalgic through the lens of VR. The magic of being a kid is fleeting, but the story of Arina and Frendt captures that enchantment in a beautiful package.”

The Gardens Between Review

In our The Gardens Between review, I wrote, “The Gardens Between is a short and simple adventure that holds a lot of charm. It plays upon the nostalgia we all have for childhood and focusses on experiences we’ve left behind in adulthood. It’s also distinctly bittersweet in how it deals with the nature of change within relationships. While it’s not the longest game, it’s perfectly put together, and though the puzzles aren’t too difficult, the way they’re crafted should be praised as should the whole package.”

If you are eager to try out Hidden Memories of The Gardens Between you won’t have to wait too long, as there will be a demo available during Steam Next Fest from June 9th to June 16th. The game is expected to release later this year on SteamVR and Meta Quest platforms.
