Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is getting a closed alpha test

Gameplay Group International has announced that its recently announced Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is getting a closed alpha soon, though no release date or way to apply has been confirmed yet. The announcement is also accompanied by some gameplay which shows Aang, Korra, and Zuko fighting each other, with Korra also entering the Avatar State towards the end of the footage.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game will launch with 12 characters on the roster, though this roster will be expanded through a season model. Players will also be able to select support characters that will be able to provide assistance in fights, and there will be a single player story mode too. The development team also mention a movement centric “Flow System” for the gameplay, crossplay, and a possible name change in the future. The characters confirmed so far are  Aang, Korra, Zuko, Katara, Toph, Sokka, and Azula, with Korra currently being the only character from Legend of Korra announced while the others are all from The Last Airbender.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting game is set to release in 2026 on PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series XS, and Switch 2.
