The hit action adventure Kena: Bridge of Spirits is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this spring, Ember Labs has announced.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version will come with the Anniversary DLC, which means there’s new Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials, Kena Outfits, and accessibility features. And if you want to immediately replay the game after completing it the first time on Switch, then the New Game+ mode is also included, ramping up the difficulty to match you having an already powered-up Kena.

“We’re incredibly excited to bring Kena’s journey to a whole new audience, giving players the chance to experience her story at home or on the go with Nintendo Switch 2,” said Josh Grier, Chief Operating Officer at Ember Lab. “As our studio’s debut title, the overwhelming support and love the game has received over the years has truly meant a great deal to our team. We’re beyond thrilled that even more players will now be able to fully immerse themselves in Kena’s world and become part of her journey.”

In our Kena: Bridge of Spirits review, Jim said, “Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a great palette cleanser, not just in terms of tone but the way it’s carefully designed. Well-paced and beautiful to behold with plenty to see and do, Ember Lab has well and truly captured the spirit of the 3D platformers many of us grew up adoring.”

The Switch 2 port’s announcement comes shortly after Ember Labs revealed the sequel, Kena: Scars of Kosmora. That game is in development for PS5 and PC, and expected to release later this year, featuring an older and wiser Kena. The brief plot summary states that “Kena, now an accomplished Spirit Guide, travels to the mysterious island of Kosmora seeking a cure for her affliction and to reconnect with a friend from her past.”

But… we’ll have to wait and see if the sequel can be squeezed down for the Switch 2. The original game was a cross-gen title, so we expect Bridge of Spirits on Switch 2 to look a lot like the PS4 version, but the sequel is fully current gen.
