Pax Autocratica early access release has been pushed back with no new date

Pax Autocratica will not be launching into early access on May 7th, developer Multiverse has announced. This is the latest delay for Pax Autocratica’s early access release, with the previous delay being announced in February where the game was pushed back from a March 4th release. This time there is no new release date being set, though Multiverse is aiming to still launch Pax Autocratica into early access this summer.

In a statement the team said, “We know we have already moved the date before, and we understand that this news is frustrating. Because of that, we want to be direct: we are postponing Early Access again, and we are not announcing the new release date today. Our current plan is still to launch this summer, but the actual release will happen only when the build is ready. Recent development has focused heavily on addressing player feedback and improving core parts of the experience. While these changes are moving Pax Autocratica in the right direction, they still require additional testing and balancing before we can responsibly launch. This is not about chasing perfection, it is about overall launch readiness.”

Some of the recent improvements have included better loading times, expanded large scale battlefield encounters, improved behaviour for allies and enemies, improved building tools, and general gameplay balancing and polishing. In addition, an improved demo for Pax Autocratica will be released and there will be a closed playtest.

In Pax Autocratica, you are Leader of Auroria and it is your role to build a fully totalitarian state in your vision. It can be a place of utter ruthlessness to one or benevolence. You need to find a balance to keep your citizens Fear, Happiness, Hunger, and Loyalty in check so they will follow you. The civilisation starts as a small cluster of shelters but through resource gathering, management of your citizens, and issuing decrees you can build a bustling autocratic state.
