Semiwork has announced that the next major update for REPO will be launching on May 7th, and it will be the Cosmetic update. One of the main features of the cosmetic update for REPO will be the addition of three magic staffs, which can be wielded in different ways as weapons to get through missions. Semiwork has released a development diary which shows the staffs in action.
The three staffs that players will get in the cosmetic update are the Roll Staff, the Anti-Gravity Staff and the Void Staff. The Roll Staff makes targets roll away from you, giving you some space, the Anti-Gravity Staff makes the target start floating around, breaking free of the shackles of gravity, and the Void Staff appears to send targets into the void and destroy them. All the staffs are used in the same way, by raising them to the sky to power them up and then releasing the magic.
R.E.P.O stands for The Retrieve, Extract & Profit Operation, where players look for valuable items from a variety of locations while trying to avoid the monsters that lurk in these areas. These valuables could be lightweight items all the way up to grand pianos, so players need to work together to get in, get the items out, and survive. R.E.P.O entered early access in February and since then has built up a large following and overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam.
