Starminer will jump into Early Access in May

CoolAndGoodGames has announced that they are bringing their physics-based logistics and shipbuilding sim, Starminer, to Early Access on 27th May.

Starminer is a hard sci-fi simulation that builds itself around a Newtonian model of physics and thrust, while giving you the ability to construct and command ships within that system. You’ll have to work with mass and conservation of energy to get around, while also dealing with a heat management system, since every module and reactor will generate heat.

CoolAndGoodGames are now happy where they are on that side of things, but will be using Early Access to figure out the game’s economy balance, metagame and to expand the tech tree alongside the community. They are also committed to developing multiplayer support and producing robut modding tools.

Having been in beta testing last year, and developed with Paradox Arc as their publishing partner, CoolAndGoodGames made the decision to fly solo and self publish, as well as push back their Early Access launch.
