Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 has been officially revealed by Cold Iron Studios and Daybreak, after it was unofficially unveiled back in October via the ESRB. The announcement trailer sees our squad of Colonial Marines deployed to planet LV-558, a colony that has been overrun by xenomorphs. The description for Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 mentions that this time it isn’t about rescue but instead survival.
In the original Aliens: Fireteam Elite squads of three would work together, but a sequel means bigger everything and that includes team size. This time teams of four will work together to work together to take on hordes of Xenomorphs as they stalk the corridors and rooms of various buildings. And there are different types of Xenomorphs to deal with, with players needing to adapt tactics to to exploit various weaknesses. There will be new classes to use including the Specialist, and it allows players to mix and match skills from all the other classes to create a unique build. You will need this class especially with the Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Horde mode, which will have a number of maps for squads to test themselves in against increasingly dangerous foes.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite Review
In our Aliens: Fireteam Elite review, Nic said, “Aliens: Fireteam Elite has a lack of mission variety, technical issues, bad matchmaking, and a repetitive structure. All of that said, it’s still a fun time. I’m off to play some more right now.”
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will be releasing this summer for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
