Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 releases this October

Auroch Digital has confirmed the release date for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 with a suitably violent and loud trailer. Players will be able to purge some heretics from October 14th, and this time Caedo is not alone. As was previously revealed, you can play as Space Marine Malum Caedo, and new character Nyra Veyrath, one of the Sisters of Battle. You can see both in action below.

If the music style sounds familiar to you, then you be glad to know that Mick Gordon is on board for the final boss battle music. He is bringing his composing skills from DOOM and Wolfenstein to Warhammer. A suitable match no doubt. The trailer also reveals the big bad of Boltgun 2 as Vashtorr the Arkifane, a powerful demigod, spreads his corruption from planet to planet. You can still grab the demo on Steam too and submit feedback to the team about issues, which they are acting on.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun launched in 2023 and was a great slice of old school FPS action, blended with the increasingly popular Warhammer 40,000 universe. In our Boltgun review, Dom said, “Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is a brisk, brutal boomer shooter and another great reason for a visit to Games Workshop’s science fiction theatre.”

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 will be available for PC, Xbox Series XS, and PS5 on October 14th, with a Switch 2 version coming later.
