Black Lab Games has announced a brand new tower defense strategy game called Survive ‘Til Dawn, in which you need to transport a humanity saving piece of tech, called the Aegis, from the west coast of the US to a rocket launch site in Florida. The issue is that most humans have turned into monstrous mutants and the tech calls out to the mutants every time you need to stop.
In Survive ‘Til Dawn the main aim is to protect the tech at each stop on the journey, building defences to hold back the mutants while also running around as main character Hank to fight the mutants yourself. Going by the footage you have a bit of time to gather resources, put together your defences, and get ready for the incoming attack. As you progress on the journey across the US, the mutants get stronger meaning you need better ways to defend the Aegis. You don’t have to do it all by yourself though, as Survive ‘Til Dawn has an online co-op mode for two players to work together to take out the mutants. Outside of the campaign mode is a Mutant Rush mode, which is where you see how many waves of mutants you can survive. The game can be made to be family friendly too with the option to switch the gore off and replace it with balloon animals.
Survive ‘Til Dawn is set to release 2027 on Steam.
