Forza Horizon 6 is going to launch on PS5 on 26th January 2027, slipping out of the planned release towards the end of this year. I can’t imagine why they would have decided to do that….
Pre-orders are now live and will net you a Ferrari J50 to use in-game. Also, if you want to play it on PS5 a little bit earlier, then there’s a Premium Edition, which includes access to a new expansion on day one. What’s in that expansion? Playground are keeping quiet for the time being.
Forza Horizon 6 is rather good, by the way. It might not be a wholesale revamp of what this series is or does, but it’s still a big, sprawling open world arcade racer, and the Japan setting is rather compelling. In our review, Dom said, “Forza Horizon 6 is another excellent entry in an excellent series, from an excellent developer. Part of me wants more than that, but I’ve no idea how that would work.”
