Acquire’s follow-up to the brutal PSP action-RPG, Gladiator Begins, has been scrapped for Xbox 360 in North America. NIS confirmed the change in direction today, stating that Clan of Champions will still go live on PSN and Steam later this Summer.
In Japan the game is known as Gladiator Vs. and launched exclusively for PlayStation 3 last year. Departing from its historic roots and absconding the Colosseums of Rome, the sequel does away with sandals in swords in favour of fantasy arena battles. Players will have access to three playable races, with a decent spread of customisable equipment and skills at their disposal.
There’s no solid release date or download price on-site, though it does mention a European version of the game that will hopefully launch alongside its counterpart across the pond.
