Originally scheduled for June, “Local Justice” – the first slip of multiplayer DLC for Max Payne 3, has been confirmed for a July 3rd release. As usual, PlayStation 3 users residing in the EU will have to sit out for another day with PC players having to wait until July 17th.
In terms of content, Local Justice is packing a glut of content for multiplayer fiends. Based on locations from the singleplayer campaign, players will go head-to-head across three news maps: The 55th Battalion HQ, Imperial Palace, and Departure Lounge.
Fans will also be happy to hear that a new faction, the Sao Paolo Police, have joined the fight, thereby introducing a gallery of new customisable avatars. Two new loadout options, including the M4 assault rifle and Light Fingers item, will also be made available.
Perhaps the best thing about Local Justice is Rockstar’s approach to pricing. Having missed the original launch date for the DLC, the firm is compensating players with a one-week discount, vending the multiplayer pack for only £4.25 instead of £5.49.
Max Payne’s cinematic brand of multiplayer action caught us somewhat by surprise. Despite suffering from a number of connection issues, the gunplay is diverse and exhilarating, encouraging players to run n’ gun when things get a bit too hairy.

Seems a nice set, especially considering the price. Alas my copy is long gone so I won’t be investing

It’s certainly a nice spread. If all content packs are like this then the multiplayer component to MP3 will have pretty much doubled by Autumn.
I’ve yet to get back into the game. Hopefully when the matchmaking/connection issues are cleared up, I’ll give it another go.

Are they even working on that? I haven’t heard anything on it & i don’t think everyone has issues (although i certainly do), so i am not sure if anyone has even requested a fix!

The dlc schedule looks great, just wish they would fix connection issues, load times & polish spectator cam, which looks unfinished & sloppy, not what i’d expect from R*.
