After two years development, the team at Might and Delight have unveiled Planet In Distress (aka PID), which will be released “soon” on the PSN.
A rather detailed post on the US PlayStation Blog reveals the you will play as a small boy who can travel around the landscape by using beams of light.
The game will ship with a hard mode during which “The richly detailed colored backgrounds became superfluous; the charming cast of characters simply mocks you by their very existence.”
It’s that hard.

Sod the difficulty comparisons… I love that style! I’m not a keen platformer but the lighting and colour palette is gorgeous to look at (as is the animation). Best of luck to them.

Fun fact, PID also stands for pelvic inflammatory disease, which is what Bunimomike will give Hanny if he doesn’t get his chlamydia treated.
