Far Cry HD Inbound For PS3 And Xbox 360

A listing for Far Cry HD has appeared on Brazil’s rating system site. The game will apparently release on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Following the success of both Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, it certainly wouldn’t come as a surprise if Ubisoft confirm this rumour of Far Cry HD to be true.

Far Cry originally released in 2004.

  2. Far cry 3 was great. Far cry 2 was great at the time. I’m sure the original was too, though I never got to play it. Playing it now after 2 and 3 I’m sure it’ll be awful. I’ll be giving this 1 a miss.

  4. Far Cry 3 far outstripped them both, there’s no point to playing them other than nostalgic reasons in my opinion. Far Cry 2 was a failed attempt at making Far Cry 3 anyway.

  6. Im sure I had Far Cry 1 on xbox 360 back in day?

    • nope that was Far Cry: Instincts Predator (similar to how Blood Dragon worked with minor changes to the original game) apart from Instincts was a full game with MP, Editor and story mode =)

      • Oh right! Am I right in thinking this Instincts version never came out on PS3?

      • Yeah, Instincts came out for XBOX, don’t think it did on PS3 =)

  7. The original was fantastic, I still play it. However, it was a proper serious FPS, not a cartoony mess like that trailer makes out.

  9. Haven’t played the original Far Cry or Far Cry 2 but i absolutely loved Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon. Are 1 and 2 worth playing?

    • I very occasionally go back to FC2, but it’s rare and the games not brilliant. Quite repetitve and a little dull.

  10. FC3:BD was AMAZING :P Playing FC2 now(got it for cheap) & it’s just not the same really. Bit of a pain in the ass it is :-/ Next i might play FC1 HD then & then erm FC3 LoL:D So FC3:BD – FC2 – FC1HD – FC3 Erm totally in the wrong order then :D
