Both the Wii and the Wii U versions of the Warner Bros. RPG, Young Justice: Legacy, have been cancelled.
“We regret that this decision will prevent some fans from playing the game and the finding out what happens in the story,” explains a post of the official Facebook page for the game. “There were a number of reasons ranging from quality issues to lack of retailer support, but know that we didn’t make this decision lightly. We are a fairly new company, and unfortunately both of these platforms presented challenges we couldn’t overcome.”
It seems odd to completely cancel these versions with less than a month to go before release, if the game was not up to scratch they could have delayed the title for a while. Perhaps most telling part of their statement is the “lack of retailer support”, are stores refusing to stock Wii and Wii U titles?

Poor Nintendo. Not a massive loss, but a worrying sign for a console that has been through the wringer enough already.

Their situation just seems to get worse and worse. Positive momentum is a lovely thing. It’s opposite is a sad thing to witness.
It leaves me ambivalent towards the console as I’ve never been interested in what Nintendo has to offer but it’s fascinating seeing how things are panning out this generation for them.

I guess the retailers know what they can sell but it’s a real shame the game is canceled only a month from release due to lack of retailer support.
