Techland have released a new nine minute gameplay walkthrough for their upcoming zombie-infested open-world parkour-focused video game.
I’m enjoying their approach to marketing this time around. While Dead Island had an incredible first trailer, there was no way any game (except perhaps The Last of Us, funnily enough) could live up to that three minute epic.
Then, with the sequel, they adopted a very strange marketing approach which ensured very few people bought the game, and even had a rather offensive special edition of the game.
So, this time they’re just showing tons of fun in-game content. And that’s probably for the best, isn’t it? That’s the thing with Dying Light: it genuinely looks like a decent game, and this new gameplay walkthrough shows the excellent day/night cycle, and how your tactics will change based upon the dying light.
See what I did there? What I did was drop the name of the title into context where it makes sense. Dying Light releases on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC at some point next year.

I played this at Eurogamer and wasn’t that impressed. It looks very pretty but I felt the jumping was a bit over the top, it’s like he has bionic legs!!

Really looking forward to this. If the co-op is as much fun as Dead Island/Riptide then it’ll be a right laugh.

Christ, that was enjoyable to watch. The open world of Dead Island made for very pleasurable gaming but this looks so much more. :-)

This looks fantastic, it’s definitely a step up from Dead Island/Riptide, especially in the animation/detail of the npc characters.
