With The Open teeing off on Thursday, it was the perfect time for EA to release Rory McIlroy PGA Tour at the exact same day, and it paid dividends as it rode the wave of excitement amongst golf fans and went straight into first place in the UK Charts. Thankfully, nobody seems to have been too freaked out by a lack of Tiger Woods on the cover.
Last week’s chart leader dropped back a spot, with F1 2015 selling under half of what it did last time out, but managing to stay ahead of Batman: Arkham Knight in third and LEGO Jurassic World in fourth. GTA V, meanwhile, remains in an eerily consistent fifth place.
Further down the list, Destiny was boosted by Amazon’s made up sales holiday and climbed up to sixth while God of War III: Remastered debuted in ninth.

It’s a shame we don’t have an EG game , because Rory Mclroy golf isn’t very good at all. Lack of courses, especially Augusta and a lack of depth in career mode ruin it. Had it 4 days, need 1 trophy for platinum, then it’ll be sold. Disappointing.

I suspect that all the courses will be sold as DLC – Like has been the case with the past few Tiger games.
