Square Enix has confirmed that Dragon Quest XI will be coming to PS4 & 3DS, though at the moment only a Japanese release has been confirmed. There was also mention of bringing the game to Nintendo’s NX system though a further press release doesn’t mention the console, with Square Enix instead saying a version is under consideration. The PS4 verision will run on Unreal Engine 4 and if the NX edition does come to fruition then it is likely that will be the same.
The release is set to fall around the 30th anniversary of the series, which is next year, though a more pinpoint time frame is to confirmed. Square Enix also announced it was bringing the Dragon Quest X MMORPG to PS4 too, though again a western release is to be confirmed.

It sounded (based on comments on Neogaf) like an NX version is confirmed, but because the system itself isn’t officially an actual thing just yet they’re being a bit coy.
