VEV: Viva Ex Vivo Announced For PlayStation 4 And PSVR

Truant Pixel have revealed that their indie game VEV: Viva Ex Vivo will be launching this summer exclusively on PS4 with planned support for PlayStation VR.

You play as a microbiologist and must sift through their partner’s notes to and complete the work, which sounds a bit dull but this is shown on screen using the Virtual Eukaryote Visualizer, or VEV for short, a tiny drone that zips through augmented reality computer simulations of microscopic environments.

You must explore your environment, find food, and avoid predators to maximize your VEV’s functional lifespan within the time limit. All your actions consume energy so you will have to plan carefully.

Truant Pixel, a three person team, say they have other big projects in the pipeline and VEV will launch this summer, presumably around the same time as PSVR.
