Ubisoft have announced that the first two expansions for Tom Clancy’s The Division, Underground and Survival, will be exclusive to players on the Xbox One platform for thirty days, and will then launch on PC and PlayStation 4. The third expansion, Last Stand, which is not out until “next winter”, will launch simultaneously on all three platforms.

The game is now live and, unsurprisingly, had a bit of a wobbly start with server problems and Ubisoft’s uPlay, which in turn affected players of Rainbow Six Siege. The problems do seem to have been cleared at the time of writing.
PC Players are also warned to not download the new 364.47 drivers released by Nvidia for GeForce GPU. They are meant to be optimised for The Division but many players are reporting problems.
Your final bit of Division news is that the cosmetic not-really-micro transactions are now live on various stores, and you can pay £3.99 to dress up your virtual character in virtual clothes, none of which improve your stats.
UPDATE: Eurogamer are reporting a load of twunts who are deliberately blocking people from progressing in the game. At one point you have to walk through a doorway, and if someone is standing in the way you can’t get past.

Do timed exclusives on DLC really make that much difference in today’s market?
Tuffcub
I’d say probably not, not 30 days worth anyway. Perhaps for CoD, but for anything else not really.
The Lone Steven
Ah yes, “Time exclusives” We have dimissed that claim as an outdated piece of BS that doesn’t do anything apart from piss off the userbase.
Seriously, stop with the timed exclusive crap. You too, Sony.
CR8ZYH0RSE
It’s good to hear they’re planning on delivering dlc up until next year.As the lads have said about “timed exclusivity” it’s about time this archaic practice was stopped. The amount of money Sony/Microsoft pay for it could be better spent elsewhere.

Timed exclusieve on a game thuis big on one platform, Xbox seems like a bit of a mistake given its current install base vs PC+PS4.
TheShepanator
How did Ubisoft not realise that people would try to block other players? There’s the thing about having to queue to use a laptop only 1 player at a time can access too.
Another game designed by corporate middle managers, not game designers.

I personally wouldn’t have counted on some people being such douche bags, but I guess there’s a new low.
