Microsoft has announced that it is renaming the Xbox Preview Program to the Xbox Insider Program, and that it will soon open up to all Xbox One owners. This means that soon all of the consoles will have an Xbox Insider hub where players can try out apps and games before they are properly released, and in the process give Microsoft feedback regarding each of the things on offer. However Xbox One system updates will not be available to test to all, with those being limited to original Preview members.
Other updates will include:
- Personalized to give more relevant announcements, quests, and Insider content opportunities to get early access to select games and apps.
- A new UI, inspired by the New Xbox One Experience, makes it easier to find the right info and provide more robust feedback.
- The Xbox Insider profile card where contributions in the program come front and centre.
- Support for multiple users on a console to participate and provide feedback.
