Sony’s 12 Deals Of Christmas Returns With Rise Of The Tomb Raider

Sony are kicking off their annual ’12 Deals of Christmas’ sale today with Lara Croft’s latest adventure. Following the sale’s usual form, Rise of the Tomb Raider is going on offer for 48 hours, before it’s replaced by another game for 48 hours, and so on until we get to Christmas Eve eve.

I’d love to tell you how much ROTTR is on sale for right now, but I can’t. As we all know, the EU PS Blog doesn’t believe in posting prices or percentage reductions anymore, and despite it saying the offer would go live at midday… it hasn’t in the UK. I’ll let you know when it does.

Update: £21.99! It’s £21.99 instead of £44.99, so just a shade over 50% off. That’s a pretty good price, actually, and better than I remember any of the Black Friday deals being.

Alongside 12DoC, we also have BOGOF for those of you more inclined to say “Bah humbug!” than “Merry Christmas!” Simply put, you can pop two of the following games into your basket and get the lowest priced one free at the till. It’s just like going to the supermarket. Games in this sale seem to top out at £34.99, but there’s quite a few that are £29.99, £24.99 or lower, so some good combined savings to be had.

I'm probably wearing toe shoes, and there's nothing you can do to stop me!

  1. If you like racing games and fancy a few average games to drive/ride through over the Christmas break, there are loads in the BOGOF deal. None too shabby.

  2. Good price on RotTR but I’m not going to bother with that, bit bored of that sort of thing. Hopefully they’ll keep the pricing that good on the other 11 deals, I’d like to see xcom 2 at that price.

  3. I opted for the cheaper deals and grabbed ABZU and Inside (played the demo last night- horribly good!).
