The Elder Scrolls Online’s next year of content will be featuring vampires as Bethesda revealed The Dark Heart of Skyrim, the year-long story event coming to the MMO. Events begin in March with the Harrowstorm DLC where a supernatural storm takes hold in Icereach meaning players need to head into the Unhallowed Grave.
Then in June players head to Greymoor in a Skyrim 1000 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. If the name Greymoor rings a bell then you may remember the ruins of Fort Greymoor that featured in Skyrim. It had been a hideout and base for different factions over the years and in Skyrim it is mentioned vampires used to hold it. Players will be venturing into Blackreach too which houses a Vampire Lord. There’s also a new antiquities system being added where players can find items that uncover more of Tamriel.
A new trial called Kyne’s Aegis will go live in Greymoor which is a 12 person trial where players have to help a village fight off Sea Giants. Harrowstorms will be the new world events which turn anyone caught in them into monsters and zombies, so shutting down these storms is quite a high priority to make Tamriel that little bit safer.
