Hello Games announce procedural adventure game Light No Fire

After many years of working on No Man’s Sky, Hello Games have announced their next title which they have been working on for the last five years and it is called Light No Fire.  The game is set on a fantastical planet around the same size Earth and is a sandbox game with “adventure, building, survival and exploration together”.

As you can see from the trailer there’s clearly a lot of the DNA of No Man’s Sky in the game, there appears to be crafting, fishing, and of course giant beasties you can fly around on. The unnamed planet consists of “immersive biomes, unique enemies and valuable resources to discover” and will find players teaming up to explore and survive.

Light No Fire has no release date and platforms were not announced.

  1. There is a lot of similarity visually, interesting prospect though. hopefully not all about the multiplayer though or i’ll have to give it a skip.

    • Yeah, you can see a lot of similar gameplay systems, but applied to this new setting and tone. Definitely seems to be leaning in on the popular multiplayer and survival vibes, and shared world, but you could surely play solo. We’ll see!

      • Just spotted on the website – you can head off solo on a path of discovery for other players – i’m in! :)

  2. Typical. You wait ages for No Man’s Skyrim, and then 2 come along at once!

Except obviously this is the other way around from Starfield. And will probably launch in a better state too. (Starfield ran like shit at launch, although seems to have improved now)

The comment from the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account is great btw. “You can always fix it later”. That didn’t do my sore ribs any good.

I’m quite looking forward to this.
