MBC Game Studio has shared a playthrough of the Gamescom build for 1001 Threads of Mizan, the Arabian fantasy co-op adventure which was revealed during ONL.

1001 Threads of Mizan takes inspiration from the One Thousand and One Nights – also known as The Arabian Nights in English, as the first translation was initially titled.

The demo playthrough is of the Gamescom build which was playable at the show, featuring three Mizan heroes – Yusra, Malik, and Sufyan – who fly through the sky on their carpets and battle the Jinn Sand Knight in an attempt to stop him freeing the cursed jinn princess Nazjush Bint Danhash!

While it’s the carpet riding and aerial combat that was most eye-catching from its reveal, the playthrough also shows plenty of traditional combo-led melee action against lesser foes, while even the boss battle had the trio regularly leaping from their flying carpets and into leaping attacks. There’s also some bullet hell elements to the bigger fights, forcing you to avoid incoming projectiles within 3D.

1001 Threads of Mizan is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
