If you have a fear of heights then climbing the tallest tower in Tokyo would be terrifying enough. Add in the Rokurokubi, a yokai from Japanese folklore, and things take a much more scarier turn. Serafini Productions’ BrokenLore: ASCEND follows the story of two climbing streamers Ren and Yui as the look to climb Elysium Tower, a recreation of the real Tokyo Tower.
In BrokenLore: ASCEND, you climb the Elysium tower in first person looking for the next viable way to move up. Make the wrong decision and the climb ends. Time is also of the essence because the Rokurokubi is hot on the tail of Ren and Yui, and the only way to avoid the yokai is to hide. The environment will makes thing tougher too with much of the game in darkness, and the wind can be an issue too. While the game is part of the BrokenLore universe but it is a standalone entry, so you do not need to have played any of the other BrokenLore games.
BrokenLore: ASCEND will be launching on January 7th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series XS.
