The PSP has taken a bit of a hammering recently but it doesn’t look like Konami will be complaining about it any time soon. Having just released their Q1 2010 revenue numbers there are a few figures that stand out, the PSP’s being one of the main ones.
Though the PSP doing well isn’t a surprise considering Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker’s recently release, the fact that is has such a lead over the other formats is. Sony will be very happy as its 3 main formats (PS2, PS3 and PSP) make up two thirds of Konami’s revenue in the last quarter with the Xbox 360 taking just 3%.
- PSP 40% (1,848,000)
- DS 18% (831,600)
- PS3 17% (785,400)
- Wii 12% (554,400)
- PS2 9% (415,800)
- X360 3% (138,600)
- PC 2% (92,400)
Total 4,620,000 (100%)
Microsoft may be a little concerned with the figures considering the 360 has performed so poorly compared with both the PS3 and PS2. They will hoping that Metal Gear Solid Rising’s 360 release can go some way to correcting this.

True but the XBox360 has a bit of piracy problem. Something PS3 isn’t suffering from at the moment.
