From reading TSA’s Fallout: New Vegas review it is apparent the game has a fair few bugs and glitches, which can spoil what is, overall, a good experience. Pete Hines, marketing man at Fallout studio Bethesda Softworks, had the following to say:
“We are currently working on releasing patches/updates as quickly as possible for Fallout: New Vegas, for all platforms. Announcements regarding the patches are forthcoming.”
As of this morning an update for the PC version has gone live. Hopefully consoles won’t be too far behind.

I don’t get it. If they can fix the bugs this quickly, why did they release the game with the bugs in the first place? They have lowered review scores so if they just fixed it before releasing, they’d have got higher reviews, and more sales. Have they not heard of product testing?

I think they have to meet dates for printing press and publisher agreements, so its easier for them to then spend the next few weeks fixing the ‘niggles’

im going to wait till i get this. i just got all the dlc for Fallout 3 through PSN+, so i will play this beforehand.
waiting seems to become the smart thing to do, it seems. F1 2010 is buggy, castlevanbia has the save deleting bug, enslaved is missing 5.1, new vegas here…
at least with single player games, i will probably start to buy them later when the bugs are fixed. and that they will getcheaper doenst hurt either

Completly agree, they’ve just done it again and haven’t learnt from Fallout 3. But then again, why should they, will all the faults and game breaking probelms it still went onto win GOTY status!

I’m holding out on buying this with the hope that the patch fixes most of the bugs. I know it’s a brilliant game, even with the bugs, but my patience could only take so much.
