A rumour that the Nintendo ‘Wii Speak’ microphone was being discontinued has been circulating for some time. Nintendo has now openly admitted that the product is being phased out and will only be available at limited retail locations. It’s not completely dead though, and if demand increases then additional shipments will be made.
From a personal viewpoint I never really got on with Wii Speak. The sound was very distorted and ‘chats’ usually ended up as shouting matches. In the meantime it looks like ‘Headbanger Headset’ is the peripheral to go for when playing games like CoD.

wii may have to find an alternative. i never used it anyway. The wii to mee is a bit of a fail, with no good games n’all.
