Does anybody remember FlatOut? The arcade racing game where the destruction of your opponents was just as important as coming first in a race. Well now the Wii is getting a piece of the action, but don’t worry as it won’t be skimping on the content. So far several modes have been confirmed:
- Racing – The standard FlatOut concept: Race, destroy and either finish first, or make sure you’re the last one standing.
- Trash – Use a weapon of choice (baseball bat, crowbar, lead pipe, amongst others) to totally trash the car of your opponent. Once trashed, he doesn’t want this car anymore and it’s all yours.
- Arena – A ‘Destruction Derby’ style event in an arena filled with all sorts of traps. Try and lure your mates into all of them.
- StuntMan – This looks brutal, and a cross between a racing game and the PSN title ‘Pain’. Check out the video below.

Ah, Flatout and it’s terrifying physics…. i spent most of my time hurtling through the windscreen – and that was just the racing!! :(

I used the love the PS2 versions of Flatout.
