Smart gamers have played Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Really smart gamers play it every year – it’s one of videogaming’s few ‘perfect’ games, and Nintendo’s classic adventure still plays absolutely wonderfully each and every time, even if it’s showing its age visually.
Enter, then, the 3DS remake of the game, which, as you’ll see, is gorgeous. It’s clear that Nintendo haven’t scrapped the original and rebuilt it, but that said the graphical updates are evident and, regardless, it’s going to be heavenly to play through the game again, on the move, in 3D.

Ocarina of Time itself is selling this writer a 3DS, but thankfully there’re stacks more games in the pipeline.

Can’t wait for this… should be properly amazing as long as they keep the dungeons etc. the same and only add to what’s already there rather than changing them completely like Master Quest.

From what I’ve heard they are tinkering with it. Like making the water dungeon less of a chore.

the water dungeon, where you had to keep going into the pause menu to change boots and so on wasn’t it?
that was a pain in the arse, and the cause of much swearing in my house at the time.

That being said, being able to play Master Quest would be a pretty ultimate fan service.

I still don’t know where that last key is, even though I’ve basically memorised the game.

That certainly ranks up there as one of the most useless videos I’ve ever seen… can’t see a bloody thing!
But… meh! There were a few games at E3 which got my interest for the 3DS. Safe to say, Zelda isn’t on or anywhere near a list of games I’d buy. It’s the 3rd-party stuff will sell it to me, not Nintendo’s games.

I love the Zelda games! I get surrounded by a warm fuzzy haze everytime I play them or anything that remotely reminds me of them. I wonder if I could justify owning this game again, when I already own the N64 version, the Gamecube Collectors Edition, the Master Quest and the Wii virtual console version. Hmm. Probably.
