Gotham City Imposters, the online shooter seemingly featuring lunatics standing in as Batman and Jokers whilst the real Bat is out of town, is expected to launch this winter, according to IGN.

They also have pricing details: $15 from your PSN wallet if you’re in the US and 1200 Microsoft Points. The game looks quite good, like a genuinely fun online shooter from what we’ve seen. If you’re not sold, IGN also have got their hands on an official trailer (and it’s awesome), which you can see below.

  1. For a Batman fan that’s been really pleased with the way the franchise has gone with Begins, Dark Knight and Arkham Asylum it quite pains me to see this. There might be a great game behind it but what I want from a Batman game is to play as Batman, Joker, Catwoman or one of the other lead protagonists. If I wanted to run around in my pants and a t-shirt with a home made Bat emblem stitched to it I can already do that.

    • But then you would really end up in an asylum :P

    • Erm.. its not a Batman game. Doesnt say Batman in the title does it? Let em check.. noope.. no mention of Batman.

      Modern Warfare 3 doesnt feature Batman in the title either, just so you know :D

      • Wow Tuffcub, someone is feeling a bit snappy. LOL. Though I do agree, to compare this with the Arkham games is nonsense. I think it has a Team Fortress feel to it. Could be decent for $15.

      its actually quite good so you should read it. im excited for this game as i think it will be fun.

    • Were Condemned and F.E.A.R mediocre?
      I say we should give these guys the benefit of the doubt, considering they have made some very good game, and including one based on a franchise: TRON 2.0.
      And we can’t evaluate any gameplay from a cinematic which most likely uses in-game models and textures but is pre-rendered.

  7. It looks fun but it is not a true Batman game.:( I do wonder if the Bats will beat up everyone at the end of the match? It does seem like a cash in on the Batman franchise given how popular it has grown recently. I won’t be getting this as i prefer to play as Batman in a Batman related game.:D

    I got credit for finding this?\o/ Now where is my bannana cookie split?:p
