Members of the Widescreen gaming forum are reporting that Bioshock, the game proclaimed by anyone with a 360 to be the ‘game of the year’ isn’t true widescreen. In fact, the image below (with the red bar showing the 4:3 version of the game) clearly shows that if you play the game in widescreen you’re actually losing part of the image.

Why the devs have done this is anyone’s guess, but it looks as though the game was developed for a 4:3 screen and then cropped for 16:9 widescreen. Most odd. As long as it’s fixed for the PS3 version we don’t care.
