Who owns what thesedays? Earlier this year Zenimax Media Inc. acquired id Software – the developer of copious Doom games and Quake and RAGE. Before this happened, the rights to RAGE were bought by EA. Now Zenimax have announced that they have successfully regained the rights to RAGE and that Bethesda (another of Zenimax’s companies) will be publishing the title. Despite all of this “the ongoing development of RAGE is unaffected by this development.”
RAGE is a FPS with a striking resemblance to Fallout 3 and Borderlands – which is not a bad thing really, is it? It was scheduled for a 2010 release but Bethesda are making no mention as yet as to whether this will be the case; with Fallout: New Vegas and Brink due for 2010, is a 3rd FPS needed?
