Xbox Live Arcade Block Party Announced

March looks like being a busy month for Xbox 360 owners, with a trio of brand new Xbox Live Arcade goodness heading your way.

First up is Perfect Dark, due in March.  Secondly, look out for the freshly announced Scrap Metal, a top-down futuristic racer which reminds us of a mix between Badlands and Skidmarks.  “Gamers fight their way through explosive, action-packed missions, defeat cunning bosses, or jump on Xbox LIVE to race against their friends,” says the press release. Scrap Metal is exclusive to Xbox 360.

Finally, it’s Krome Studio’s Game Room.  We’ve mentioned Game Room before, but it’s worth mentioning again as the clever mix of Avatars and a PlayStation Home-style space looks quite appealing.  According to Microsoft, Game Room lets gamers “relive the glory days of classic arcade and console games in their original forms,” with your Avatar moving in and around the arcade centre.

My money’s on Perfect Dark, but I’m a sucker for retro stuff too so Game Room is high on my list of things to watch out for next month.  Impressions on the way from Peter, who’s testing out all this live at X10.
