Calling out what we’re pretty sure most people have concluded already, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter reckons Valve’s lack of PS3 support is “a mistake.” Later on during the podcast, Pachter also suggests that lying is “bad” and that Brazil have a “good shot” of winning this year’s World Cup.
He states:
“I still kinda wonder about companies like Valve that seem to not be interested in the PS3. I think that’s kind of a mistake, because they are a first rate, you know, world class developers. I think that they could make some games that could really do well on the PS3.”
Valve have been making some noise of late, mentioning the PS3 far too much for a company that has historically treated Sony’s console like a leper covered in Marmite*. But when an analyst of Pachter’s stature comes out and says you’re doing something wrong … well, actually, it makes not a jot of difference. Valve are big and powerful enough to do whatever they please.
*This analogy only works for those who have an intense dislike of Marmite. If you like Marmite, please substitute this word with one of the following: swastikas, blue cheese or the Hantavirus.
