Now is not the time to be creating crap superhero games, especially when certain other superheros are dutifully washing their tights and brushing up on their acceptance speeches. Taking their own self-criticism quite seriously, it appears Activision are really stretching their creative webs and banking on the recent trend of making superhero games gritty and hard-hitting.
Developed by Beenox Studios, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will mix things up for our favourite web-head. Offering up multiple vignettes of varied aesthetics, only two such styles are shown in this its first trailer below; namely the “Amazing” flavour – think standard Spider-man – and “Noir”, a Spidey set in the Great Depression of the 1930s.
What could the other two be? Our money is on Medieval Spider-Man and Suburbia Spider-man, the latter featuring Peter Parker trapped in a 1950s diner, miniaturised and chased by a zealous burger chef.
