Naturally, don’t take this as any sign that the game will be out for our European PSN Store any time soon, but it’s encouraging to read that Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto says the development work on the PSN version of Final Fantasy IX is complete.
Confirming the news via Twitter, Hashimoto’s announcement doesn’t signify the game is ready to be pushed through to the PSN, rather that it’s now up for testing. We’re promised an update following ‘Golden Week’, which should mean we’ll know more sometime next week.
Final Fantasy 9 follows earlier PSN versions of 7 and 8.
