Games-On-Demand Coming To PS3?

Games-on-demand aren’t new to the PSN, you can buy a couple of full games already, but analysts are expecting a possible “big announcement” from Sony regarding the digital download market.

Colin Sebastian from analysts Lazard Capital Market stated:

We also expect the company to provide more details on enhanced features and functionality of the online PlayStation Network, including complete game downloads, more robust social networking features, networked game-play and broader content offerings beyond games (e.g., online video).

Take that how you will but MCV are suggesting that this may mean Sony are preparing full games for download at the same time they become available from physical and online retailers. If this is the case then the PS3 would become the first console to offer digital downloads on the day games are released.

  1. Time for me to source a HUGE HDD.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a good HDD?

  2. While it initially sounds cool, I just hope they do a better job at pricing than Microsoft did on Xbox Live.. There’s quite a few games on there and although its a great idea, they are all vastly overpriced and can be got preowned from anywhere for a fraction of what XBL charges..

£19.99 for Halo 3, anyone? No, didn’t think so.
