Eager to find out what the fourth and final period to grace upcoming web-slinging title Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions will be? Well, you can forget about the official(?) box art spilling the beans, as it looks the last Spidey flavour will remain under wraps for the time being. That’s if this is even real, of course. If it’s not, admire the nice Photoshop work and use the comment section below to argue the virtues of why someone would go to the hassle in the first place. Either way, it does give us a chance to talk Spidey, so here goes.
Shattered Dimensions sees Ole Spidey traverse four worlds/times as different variants of the friendly web-head in an effort to find the Tablet of Order and Chaos and stitch his now fragmented reality back together. Before Aunt May gets home and has to wash his sticky socks no doubt.
We know about noir Spidey, with his moody goggles and dark overtones. We’re also clued in to futuristic Spider-man 2099 and the more vanilla version of the character’s normal look. But what of the final dimension?
We’re hoping for Victorian Spidey, where our hero has to fight off the advances of portly English maidens hellbent on match-making when they’re not fixated on cheese festivals. All the while Master Spider-man himself must struggle to keep his massive sideburns within the confines of his itchy mohair mask. Anyway … here’s the contentious cover.

Carnage or Venom please? Would be soooo awesome if its Carnage!
hunterstryfe
Why would it be Carnage or Venom? Neither of them ARE spiderman, they are villains/anti heroes. I am hoping for the main villain to be Spider-Carnage (does no-one else find the idea of this game similar to the Spider Wars saga?). Maybe the fourth spidey is Armored Spidey although unlikely as that is an exclusive Amazon dlc thingymabobby. So I am REALLY hoping for Ben Reilly (Scarlet Spidey). Don’t like the idea of Spidey 2099 though as thats more “in the future” as opposed to an adjacent running dimension of sorts

Ok, I meant a Symbiote-Spidey… sorry…

A lot of people are looking forward to this but I’m not so sure. It looks a bit dodgy IMO. Honestly, I just want a game similar to Spider-Man 2 but obviously with a hell of a lot more polish. Maybe that’s me, I dunno, but I guess they’ve been trying to do that for a while now but without much luck.

???? Web Of Shadows was an ace idea for a spidey game
jikomanzoku
That’s what I liked about Prototype, felt like Spiderman 2 in a really bad mood with more to do/kill.

Looks like the Spider-Man peeps are running out of ideas.
This game is going to suck.

Go into it with an open mind man! You might be surprised.

I have loved spiderman since being a little boy and still think hes a legend! My fave superhero by far with Ironman and Batman being joint second….
Spiderman 2 was my fave outing on the PS2, although Maximum Carnage on the Snes was amazingly good.
Give us a Maximum Carnage on the PS3!
Anyways back to this game – box art looks cool!

Maximum Carnage rocked. I want them to bring back the much revered “What if” scenarios after completing the game like the old games had but PS2/PS3 games had them removed – Treyarch’s fault or Activision’s fault – u decide

Check the game logo on the official site http://www.spidermandimensions.com – notice they are no longer using the word “Shattered”…
So *IF* the game has been renamed “Spider-Man Dimensions” that definitely “outs” this as a fake cover.

I wish it was Marvel zombies, but I doubt it, because they’re aiming at a 12+ PEGI rating, and PEGI always gives a 16+ to games with small amounts of violence, such has: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and it’s sequel, tomb raider underworld, Quantum of Solace and LOST: Via Domus.
