God Of War Indie Movie

Have you ever wondered what would happen if God Of War was made as a low budget indie movie? No, me neither but someone did this trailer for a non existent movie, and it’s unexpectedly fab. Here is the blurb:

God Of War is a unique romantic black comedy in the proud tradition of Rushmore and Gigantic. Josh Henderson stars as Kratos, an orphan teen who just transfered to Spartan Academy. There he meets Athena (Zane Bauer), an alluring rebel with parental issues herself.

The two hit it off almost immediately, and find they share much more in common than they originally thought when Kratos is introduced to Athena’s father Zeus (Michael Sadorf), the same father who abandoned Kratos at an early age.

Determined to reconnect with his son after more than a decade of absence, Zeus forbids Kratos from seeing Athena, yet the star-crossed lovers find themselves inexplicably attracted to one another, despite the newfound revelation of their relation.

I think I’ve watched this about ten times now and it just get better and better each viewing. What do you think?

  3. That was great. Done really well and had all the callings of your gedneric indie film. Loved the hand-drawn text logo also, ha.

  8. Heavily dislike the game series but this looks right up my street movie-wise. It looks so daft, I wonder if the Tennis/Badminton racquet thing is intentional, not that it matters of course.

  9. just watched that as I was on my phone browser earlier – absolutely terrible, I just don’t get the sense of humour at all, really not my thing. Sorry.
